Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is all set to star in Hollywood film "XXX- Xander Cage Returns" opposite Vin Diesel.

The actress created buzz when she shared a photo with the Hollywood star with the logo of the movie franchise "XXX" in the background. Later, Diesel himself posted a photo with her.

It is reported that Deepika flew down to USA for the audition and to finish all the formalities regarding the project.

"The night after the success party of 'Tamasha', Deepika flew to America for a meeting with Hollywood star Vin Diesel. No wonder, Ranveer Singh is still promoting his next release alone! But who knew Deepika would surprise everybody with this photograph! It is a big achievement for her and she is finishing all formalities in America. She is returning to India tomorrow night," Deccan Chronicle quoted a source as saying.

Deepika had earlier turned down Diesel's offer to share screen space in "Fast and Furious 7" but this time the actress has bagged the international movie offer.

Though there is no confirmation on the "Bajirao Mastani" actress being a part of the threequel to the popular "XXX" series, the photos shared on social media suggest that the reports are true.

Even Deepika's co-star from "Piku" Irrfan Khan and her manager Anirban Blah have congratulated the actress on Facebook for this achievement.

"A big congratulation to our favorite ‪#‎Piku for her smashing‪#‎Hollywooddebut with ‪#‎Vindiesel @DeepikaPadukone" – Irrfan Khan.

"Am so so proud of this girl. What an announcement... What a journey it has been!!" – Anirban Blah

Deepika, who was last seen in Ranbir Kapoor starrer "Tamasha", is now busy with the promotions of her upcoming movie "Bajirao Mastani", featuring Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.

Deepika plays the role of Mastani in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial. The film is slated to hit theatres on 18 December along with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Dilwale".
