5:18pm IST: Hima Das finishes sixth in women's 400m final

Das misses out on a medal, which would have been India's first in track and field events at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Botswana's Amantle Montsho nabs gold.

5:04pm IST: Tejaswin Shankar finishes sixth in high jump final

Shankar finishes a respectable joint-sixth with Canada's Michael Mason with a highest jump of 2.24m. Brandon Starc takes gold with a jump of 2.32m.

4:41pm IST: Tejaswin Shankar fails to medal in high jump final

The 19-year-old Shankar failed to clear a jump of 2.27m in his three attempts and has fallen out of medal contention. Brandon Starc, the brother of Australia cricketer Mitchell Starc, is currently leading the pack with a jump of 2.32m.

4:37pm IST: Full-time: India 4-3 England

Amazing scenes. First England retake the lead through Sam Ward, but their advantage does not last long as Varun Kumar converts a penalty corner to tie the scores at 3-3 with less than two minutes left on the clock. Mandeep Singh then scores his second of the game in the final seconds to win it for India!

Drama! England equalize through Liam Ansell. As it stands, India are second in Pool B due to their inferior goal difference compared to leaders England.

India's men's hockey team have taken the lead through Rupinder Pal Singh in the fourth quarter. Remember, victory for India will give them top spot in Pool B and a favorable draw in the semi-finals.

4:10pm IST: Sathiyan Gnanasekaran through to round of 16 in men's singles table tennis

Gnanasekaran beat Pakistan's Muhammad Rameez 4-0 in the round of 32.

India have leveled through Manpreet Singh in the third quarter after David Condon gave England the lead in the second quarter.

3:39pm IST: Manish Kaushik wins men's 60kg boxing quarter-final

Kaushik beat England's Calum French on a unanimous points decision to move into the semi-finals, which assures him of at least a bronze medal.

3:04pm IST: India men's hockey team set for final Pool B clash against England

India are already through to the semi-finals but must beat England to finish top of Pool B and avoid Australia in the last-four stage. India's results so far:

Das beat Mauritius's Elodie Ho Wan Kau 4-0 to join Madhurika Patkar, who earlier triumphed over Trinidad and Tobago's Rheann Chung, in the round of 16.

2:15pm IST: Pinki Rani loses boxing women's 51kg quarter-final bout

Rani lost on a tight points decision to England's Lisa Whiteside, with the five judges scoring the bout 29-28 28-29 28-29 28-29 29-28.

More positive news for India elsewhere, with PV Sindhu and Gadde Ruthvika sealing progress to the round of 16 of the badminton women's singles event by clinching comfortable wins over Fiji's Andra Whiteside and Ghana's Grace Atipaka, respectively.

1:48pm IST: Joshna Chinappa/Dipika Pallikal Karthik secure squash women's doubles win

Chinappa and Karthik saw off Malta duo Dianne Kellas and Colette Sultana 11-5 11-6, making it three wins out of three in Pool C. The Indian pair had already qualified for the quarter-final stage.

1:40pm IST: Kidambi Srikanth through to round of 16 in badminton men's singles

Medal hopeful Srikanth, who will soon become the first Indian to be ranked world number one in badminton men's singles, triumphed 21-13 21-10 over Aatish Lubah to seal passage to the round of 16.

1:06pm IST: Saina Nehwal through to round of 16 in badminton women's singles

World number 12 Nehwal beat South African Elsie de Villiers 21-3 21-1 in just 18 minutes in the round of 32. Kidambi Srikanth will face Mauritius's Aatish Lubah in the men's round of 32 next.

12:27am IST: Sathiyan Gnanasekaran/Manika Batra win table tennis mixed doubles round of 32 clash

Another win for India in table tennis mixed doubles. Gnanasekaran and Batra overcome Malaysia's Leong Chee Feng and Ho Ying 3-0.

12:19am IST: Sanil Shankar Shetty/Madhurika Patkar win table tennis mixed doubles round of 32 clash

Shetty and Patkar wrapped up a 3-0 victory over Sri Lanka pair Buwaneka Jayasingha Mudiyanselage and Erandi Warusawithana at the Oxenford Studios.

India President Ram Nath Kovind has congratulated Shreyasi Singh for winning gold in the women's double trap event. Singh won India's 12th gold medal of the 2018 Commonwealth Games in dramatic fashion earlier today.

11:45am IST: Ankur Mittal wins bronze in men's double trap

Mittal came third behind Scotland's David McMath and Isle of Man's Tim Kneale. India's Ashab Mohd finished fourth.

10:59am IST: Vikas Krishan wins men's 75kg boxing quarter-final bout

Krishan won a unanimous decision against Zambia's Benny Muziyo to advance to the semi-finals and guarantee at least a bronze medal.

Om Mitharval netted India a bronze medal in the men's 50m pistol finals, with defending champion Jitu Rai suffering a disappointing early elimination.
