Supercell, the developer of popular strategy video game Clash of Clans, streamed a live event for its players on Sunday from Helsinki sharing several key details about the upcoming release of Clash of Clans X-Mas update, also known as Winter update or December 2016 update.

Supercell live-streamed the event on the official Clash of Clans YouTube channel where two top-rated clans Reddit Reindeer and Dark Elves who are Clan Wars experts faced off as part of update stream.

The event also saw Clan Wars enthusiast, Powerbang explaining the new features that are part of X-Mas update from P.E.K.K.A. cafe. The X-Mas update been dubbed as an epic one.

Here are some of the details of the new features in X-Mas update:

  • Players have to be careful as to where they place the new Level 12 walls, with only 50 wall pieces offered.
  • Dragons are faster, DPS not increased, their golden eyes look more prominent.
  • Noticeable increase of Poison Spell radius. New Level for Poison Spell makes them more potent.
  • New Level 10 Wizard Towers was seen absorbing lot of damage and more hit points on defence.
  • Lot of changes troop icons.
  • Changes in the graphics.
  • Giant in the battle looks different.
  • Witches will be stronger with increased hitpoints and damage.
  • This update gives boost to the Baloon usage. DPS has not changed but they will attack faster.
  • Giant icons look different.
  • Heroes get Level 45.
  • Troops that were not being used will now be used again.
  • Hog Riders can be used in big groups.
  • New level to Clan Castle puts a new Spell slot, new hit points. It will be harder to get it down.
  • More balance changes.
  • Dragons are attacking faster.

Here is what we know will be part of the X-Mas update:

New Town Hall 11 Attack Levels

    • Barbarian King Levels 41-45
    • Archer Queen Levels 41-45
    • Clan Castle level 7 – gives critical attack boost, allowing donation of larger Spells like Rage and Freeze.
    • Golem Level 6
    • Hog Rider Level 7
    • Poison Spell Level 5
    • Wall Level 12 (TH11: max 50 pieces)
    • Wizard Tower Level 10 at TH 11 -- level 9 becomes available now at TH 10
