After Interstellar, director Christopher Nolan is returning with epic World War II film, Dunkirk, and Warner Bros. released the first full-length trailer of the film on December 14. The film depicts Operation Dynamo, the notorious Dunkirk evacuation of 1940, in which more than 300,000 Allied soldiers were rescued in little more than a week after German forces invaded France.

The film features Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh and Oscar Awards winner Mark Rylance. Nolan's war drama is also a debut movie of One Direction star Harry Styles and Fionn Whitehead.

Here are the four things we picked up from the first trailer of the epic war film:

Stunning war visuals:
The trailer, which carries the tagline "At the point of crisis, at the point of annihilation, survival is victory," sees around 300,000 Allied soldiers fighting for their lives on the French beach of Dunkirk. The spectacular visuals and set design weaves the real image of the WWII in the viewer's mind.

Nolan's direction:
The Dark Knight director's recreation of the epic WWII war film relies heavily on twists and heady concepts. He brings the same scope and grand vision that he brought to The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception and Interstellar.

Hans Zimmer's music:
Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer have become an inseparable duo since Batman Begins. The prolific composer's bombastic music adds an extra layer of thrill, which should be an ideal match for the film's subject.

Harry Styles' debut
One Direction member Harry Styles is making his film debut through this film. It is a great Christmas gift for every 1D lover. The pop star is heavily featured in the new trailer.

Dunkirk will be released in theatres on July 21 2017. Watch the trailer below.
