Director Koratala Siva, who is set to direct megastar Chiranjeevi, is said to be roping in Anushka Shetty to play the female lead in his upcoming movie. Chiru will romance Baahubali girl in his next film.
Post the success of Bharat Ane Nenu, Koratala Siva has gone busy with the pre-production activities of his next movie, which will feature Chiranjeevi in the lead roles. Besides scripting, the director is also focusing on casting process. The buzz in the industry is that he has already finalized an actress to play heroine.
Koratala Siva recently met Anushka Shetty and narrated the script of his next movie. The actress is impressed with his narration and given her consent to play the role, say sources close to the Baahubali actress, who is seen with Chiranjeevi in the movie. The director is expected to make an announcement about her casting.
Anushka Shetty is one of the most popular actresses in Tollywood. She has worked with leading Telugu actors like Ravi Teja, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Prabhas. She was also seen with Chiranjeevi in a special song in his 2006 movie Stalin. But this is the first time she is playing a female lead alongside Chiru. She is said to be all excited to share the screen space with him.
Koratala Siva is known for his social dramas and his next movie is not going to be an exception to the rule. Reports suggest that his upcoming movie will be a commercial entertainer with a social message. This flick is being jointly produced by Konidela Productions and Matinee Entertainments.
Anushka Shetty has reportedly not announced her next project after the release of Bhaagamathie, which hit the screens on January 26 this year. The actress is apparently ready to join the shooting of Koratala Siva's film. But Chiranjeevi is currently busy with the filming of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and he will take it up after wrapping his current project. Siva's film is likely to go on the floors by the end of 2018.
However, all eyes are now set on the release of Chiranjeevi's 151st movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which is a trilingual period film. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film features an ensemble cast of Nayanthara, Tamannaah Bhatia, Jagapati Babu, Vijay Sethupathi, Kiccha Sudeep in important roles.
