Chelsea are reportedly closing in on a £7.5 million January move for Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric.

Although Chelsea already have the likes of Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Didier Drogba spearheading their attack, manager Jose Mourinho is keen to land the 23-year-old after watching him do brilliantly at Croatian side Rijeka this season.

Kramaric has been in red hot form this season, scoring 21 goals from only 18 appearances for his side in the MAXtv Prva Liga. Apart from that, the former Dinamo Zagreb has also managed to 7 goals from 12 appearances in the Europa League this season.

His impressive performances ave attracted the attentions of a lot of clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan, but the Blues have reportedly won the race to sign him, and are on the verge of completing the signing of the talented striker, according to the Daily Mirror.

Kramaric, whose style of play has led to people comparing him to Croatia legend Davor Suker, has won four caps for his country, scoring two goals.

It is believed that Chelsea are planning on loaning out the Croatian striker to Leicester City for the rest of the season once the deal is completed.

Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Mohamed Salah has reportedly held talks with Mourinho after getting limited first team football at Stamford Bridge this season.

The 22-year-old Egypt international, who completed a £11 million move from FC Basel last January, has failed to break into the Chelsea first team as he is currently way down the pecking order behind the likes of Willian, Oscar, Eden Hazard and Andre Schurrle.

Due to this reason, the versatile winger, who has been dubbed as the "Egyptian Messi", reportedly spoke to Mourinho to sort out his future at the club.

Although Inter Milan are believed to be interested in securing Salah's signature on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal, with a view of signing him permanently for £9.5 million in the future, Chelsea may not agree to this move as they reportedly consider the Egyptian to be a future star.

However, they may be willing to loan him out to a club in England in January so that Salah will be able to gain more experience in the Premier League.
