Developer Treyarch and publisher Activision have announced FPS video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's first DLC pack, Awakening, which is expected to roll out sometime in early 2016.

The announcement gives PlayStation owners something to be happy about, since previously, it was the Xbox owners who would get exclusive content. Activision revealed that the first of the four DLC map packs will be dropping first on PS4 for a month. Only later will it be dropping on PC and Xbox One.

The Awakening DLC will be inclusive of new multiplayer maps Skyjacked, Rise, Splash, and Gauntlet. Apart from this, there will also be Der Eisendrachen, which is the next chapter in the Black Ops 3 Zombies saga.

The company announced that the upcoming Call of Duty World League will be partnered with PlayStation. The pre-season qualifier will start from 11 December in Los Angeles, Cologne, and Sydney. This event has a $3 million prize pool.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was released on 6 November. The game is a sequel to the 2012 Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The game contains the fan-favourite Zombies saga and has new character groups.
