Floyd Mayweather retired from boxing in September this year but that has not stopped him from adding yet another supercar to his fleet.

The undefeated American professional boxer bought a 2015 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and the photo was posted on his Instagram account. Currently the world's highest-paid athlete, Mayweather captioned the picture "My new 2015 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse $3,498,000".

The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is a version of the Grand Sport with a Super Sport engine. The 7993cc W16 engine develops 1,200bhp at 6,400rpm and a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm at 3,000-5,000 rpm mated to seven-speed DSG transmission. The all-wheel driven supercar reaches from 0 to 100kmph in just 2.6 seconds before hitting electronically-limited top speed of 375 kmph.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport became the 'fastest production car' in 2010 achieving land speed record of 430.99kmph. Bugatti reportedly manufactured 300 coupes and 150 roadsters up in 2015 and Mayweather's Bugatti is one of the roadsters. The Grand Sport Vitesse had its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012 and completes the range of Veyron models.

Unlike the regular Bugatti Veyron, the Grand Sport Vitesse comes with larger air vents that were added to the front while the rear features a double diffuser and central dual exhaust. The Grand Sport Vitesse's exterior is completely made of carbon fibre.

Floyd Mayweather, known for his obsession for supercars, also bought the ultra-limited edition Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita in August.
