Vivek Agnihotri's "Buddha in a Traffic Jam" is an autobiographical film inspired from the director's life. The autobiographical film, which released in theatres on Friday, opened to rave reviews from critics.

The political drama, which has been screened at several colleges in India and film festivals around the world, talks about corruption, crony socialism and campus politics. The film features Anupam Kher, Mahie Gill, Aanchal Dwivedi, Pallavi Joshi, Arunoday Singh and Vivek Vaswani in pivotal roles.

Read below what critics have said about the film:

Rohit Bhatnagar of Deccan Chronicle said: "Vivek Agnihotri has used a soulful nazm of Faiz Ahmad Faiz, 'Chand Roz' while the plot speedily moves towards the climax.

"'Buddha In A Traffic Jam' is mostly in English which might be a problem for the producer. But it is certainly a one-time watch."

Mohar Basu of the Times of India said: "Quoting from the film, the best thing that can be said about Buddha in a Traffic Jam is that we love the ideas Vivek brings forth but we are not in love with them. It lacks outrage and treads familiar ground."

Surabhi Redkar of Koimoi.com said: "Buddha In A Traffic Jam is a film that must be missed by those who have a poor knowledge of issues such as Naxals in India and their motives. For those in the know, you will realise how provocative this film is towards selling a mindset."

Nandini Ramnath of Scroll.in said: "An advertising filmmaker who has previously made the deeply ordinary Chocolate and Goal, Agnihotri has been working hard to package his narrative as a polemical tract about India's present and future."
