Ram Charan's much-awaited Telugu film "Bruce Lee: The Fighter" is all set for a grand release worldwide on 16 October. The movie is likely to beat the box office records of "Rudhramadevi".

Story

"Bruce Lee: The Fighter" is a commercial entertainer with an interesting story. The makers of the movie have kept its story under wraps. All they have to say is the film revolves around the story of a fighter, who is trained in martial arts. The movie has all the masala elements like romance, action, comedy, music, dance and family drama to entertain all classes of viewers.

Cast and crew

Ram Charan Teja plays a fighter in "Bruce Lee - The Fighter", while Rakul Preet Singh appears as his love interest. Tamil actor Arun Vijay is making his debut in Telugu with the movie, which features Kriti Kharbanda, Sampath Raj, Brahmanandam,Nadhiya, Saptagiri, Tisca Chopra, Brahmaji, Mukesh Rishi, Posani Krishna Murali, Rao Ramesh and Amitash Pradhan in supporting cast. Chiranjeevi is seen in a cameo appearance.

"Bruce Lee - The Fighter" has been directed by Srinu Vaitla and produced by DVV Danayya under the banner DVV Entertainments. Kona Venkat and Gopimohan have written the story and dialogues, while Srinu Vaitla has written the screenplay. S Thaman has scored the music, while Manoj Paramahamsa has cranked the camera for the movie, which has been edited by MR Varma.

Production

"Bruce Lee - The Fighter" has been made on a whopping budget of Rs 37 crore. The movie went on floors on 16 March, 2015 and has has been shot in different locations in Hyderabad, Spain and Bangkok. The exotic locales and Manoj's beautiful picturisation are going to be one of the main attractions of the film.

Hype and promotion

Ever since Srinu Vaitla announced it, "Bruce Lee - The Fighter" has been making it to the headlines. Its music has impressed the audience and songs like 'Ria' and 'Lehchalo' have become chartbusters. Its first look posters, teasers and trailers have garnered lot of positive response. Its makers have shelled out a hefty sum on its promotion, besides adopting new publicity strategies.

Release

"Bruce Lee - The Fighter" will be released in 1,000 theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, 650 screens in other parts of India and around 350 cinema halls in the international markets. The movie will reportedly release in a total of around 2,000 screens worldwide this Friday.

Box office prediction

The budget of "Bruce Lee - The Fighter" is lesser than that of "S/o Satyamurthy" and "Rudhramadevi", which have become the third and fourth biggest Telugu openers of 2015, respectively. But it is bigger than the two movies in terms of promotion, star power and volume of release. It is likely beat their records. However, it should be seen whether breaks the records of "Srimanthudu".
