It seems like Brad Pitt is leaving no stone unturned to mend things with Angelina Jolie. Sources of the now separated couple have been hinting that the two are missing each other and it is possible that they are looking at reconciliation.

After Pitt confessed that his drinking habits contributed to the divorce, it was reported that the actor is taking therapy to come clean and restart life. But it looks like the restart is turning to be an expensive deal. Reports claim that the War Machine actor has been shelling out a bomb for mending past mistakes.

The actor, who has been sober for six months now, is reportedly spending thousands of dollars a day to stay sober; gossip tabloid National Enquirer claims. In a recent report, the tabloid quoting a source told that Pitt has hired a sober chef, an expert to keep Pitt's alcohol in check.

"(The chef) worked out a meal plan with him that is specifically designed for people who have quit boozing and drugs," the source said. Adding, the insider shared, "On any given day, Brad's forking out up to $4,500."

While it does sound believable, Gossip Cop debunks the report stating there is no truth in the claim made. The website reached out to Pitt's rep for a clarification and his rep confirmed that the story was false. "The actor is in fact seeking help for his alcohol issues, including seeing a therapist, but he's simply not spending thousands of dollars a day to quit booze," the website shares.

While he is still out fixing things, the actor is making progress on his work front as he is busy promoting his upcoming Netflix movie, War Machine. During one of his promotion trips to New York, the actor sat down with the Associate Press and clarified that he is not suicidal. "I'm not suicidal or something," he said. "There's still much beauty in the world and a lot of love. And a lot of love to be given. It's all right. It's just life."

War Machine releases on May 25 on Netflix.
