Kamal Haasan's "Uttama Villain" (Uthama Villain) continues to be in the number one position at the Chennai box office. The Tamil film has beaten many big films from Tamil industry and Bollywood including "Piku" and "Gabbar".

"Uttama Villain" earned ₹77.30 lakh from 316 shows in its second weekend, Behindwoods reported.  In the week days, it had 183 shows and raked in ₹81.94 lakh. The total collection of the Kamal Haasan movie in Chennai stands at ₹2.44 crore.

The Tamil film also beat Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan starrer "Piku", which also had a good weekend in Chennai as it collected ₹15.07 lakh in Chennai alone. The Bollywood movie had 54 shows in three days and good word-of-mouth helped the movie earn good revenue.

Akshay Kumar's "Gabbar", the remake of Tamil hit movie "Ramanna", has raked in ₹6.09 lakh in Chennai and its total collection in the city is ₹26 lakh till date. While "Piku" is in the fifth position, Akshay's film is in the seventh position as per Behindwoods' ranking.

Raghava Lawrence's "Kanchana 2" is in second position raking in ₹32.86 lakh from 147 shows and its total collection in the city stands at ₹5.85 crore.

Last week's release "India Pakistan" had a decent weekend and raked in ₹23.59 lakh from 123 shows. Aishwarya Dhanush's "Vai Raja Vai" has collected ₹14.58 lakh from 136 last weekend and its total collection in Chennai stands at ₹72.02 lakh.

Mani Ratnam's "Ok Kanmani" collected ₹6.59 lakh from 45 shows in its fourth weekend. The total business by the film in Chennai is ₹2.69 crore till date.
