Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya" (RV) has fared poorly at the box office, owing to negative feedback from critics and the audience.

According to reports, the film's business will be closed by the end of second week. "RV" was one of the most-awaited films of 2013, but the NTR starrer failed to live up to the expectations. Moreover, the successful run of Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi" has affected "RV" collections to some extent.

The action-packed entertainer raked in a worldwide share of ₹28.60 crore in its first week, which is far lower than the collections fetched by "AD."

"RV" was released on 11 October (Friday) to cash in on the Dussehra holidays. The film was expected to have a good opening in its first weekend. It earned pretty good collections on the first day of its release, minting over ₹8 crore (share) in Andhra Pradesh alone. However, it failed to surpass "AD" and "Badshah" first-day collections. Its first weekend figures (worldwide share) stood at ₹19.86 crore, according to AndhraBoxOffice.

The second week worldwide share of "RV" has reportedly dropped and the film's business is likely to be closed by end of second week, when Nagarjuna's "Bhai" releases.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR has shifted his focus on his upcoming film "Rhabasa", directed by Santhosh Srinivas of "Kandireega" fame. The young tiger of Telugu cinema has resumed shooting for the film, touted to be a mass entertainer. The shooting will take place at Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City till 26th of this month, after which the team will head to Pollachi for a couple of weeks to shoot some more portions.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu once again plays the female lead for Jr NTR after "Brindavanam" and "RV." The film is said to have another heroine, whose name is yet to be announced. Earlier there were speculations that Tamil and Malayalam actress Nazriya Nazim will play the second lead in it. However, an official confirmation on the same has not yet been made.

Some reports suggest that NTR is taking additional efforts for "Rabhasa" following poor outcome for "RV."

"Rabhasa" is expected to hit the screens during summer next year.
