Even as "Happy New Year" beats "Kick" at worldwide box office, the Shah Rukh Khan's flick is unlikely to surpass the collections of Salman Khan's movie in India. Thus the King Khan's movie, by all probabilities, is likely remain in the second position at the domestic collection centres in 2014.

The worldwide gross of "Happy New Year" has crossed ₹ 380-crore mark. A few days ago, Shah Rukh Khan's movie beat "Kick", which had made ₹ 377 crores worldwide all time. However, the performance of Farah Khan's movie is not good as Salman Khan's film in India.

So far, "Happy New Year" has earned around ₹ 202 crores at domestic box office. Whereas, "Kick" had ended its all time total collection in India at ₹ 233 crores. The Shah Rukh Khan's movie requires another 31 crores to beat the Sallu's film and this, as per the trader trackers, looks impossible.

If we go by last week's performance of "Happy New Year", the movie might find it difficult to even reach ₹ 210 crores in India. There has been a significant drop in the collections of Shah Rukh Khan's movie as the film has been making above ₹ 60 lakhs on weekdays.

This leaves "Happy New Year" in the second position as "Kick" with ₹ 233 crores will be the biggest hit of 2014 in India. The crazy around "Happy New Year" seems to have come down and this is reflecting at collection centres, say industry insiders.

"Happy New Year" has got better response in international circuits than in India. While Shah Rukh Khan's movie has earned about ₹90 crores in international circuits, "Kick" made around ₹68 crores.

Meanwhile, traders are expecting "Happy New Year" to have a decent run at cinema halls for one more week. The Hindi movie has a chance to beat the worldwide gross collection of Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots", which had made ₹ 395 crores.
