It's "Diwale" all the way in Bengaluru. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer is set to have a rocking opening at the box office in the Garden City and has dominated other big release "Thanga Magan" starring Dhanush.

"Diwale" was extensively promoted in Bengaluru and the makers targeted the audience in a big way. From full page promotions on the first page of a leading daily to maximum possible screens, they have left no stone unturned to make it the talk of the town.

This has had a huge impact on Tamil release "Thanga Magan". "Dilwale" has clocked an astonishing 250+ shows in Bengaluru on the release day. If the advance booking is taken into consideration, the film is going to have a flying start in the Garden City with an expected business of Rs 1.2 (estimation) crore on the first day.

The price of the tickets has also played a major role in its success. In single screens, the tickets price vary from Rs 120 to Rs 180, whereas at multiplexes it is somewhere between Rs 200 and Rs 900 for the shows of different timings. It has to be noted that there is no cap on the ticket price in the state.

"Dilwale" is distributed by Bahar Entertprises and they seem to be confident about making good money in the first weekend.

Coming to "Thanga Magan", the film is distributed by Ramu Films, which has been in the industry for decades. The film has over 90 shows in the capital city of Karnataka, which is considerably less compared to his previous big films. As per sources, the makers want to increase the count once the craze around "Dilwale" goes down.

"Dilwale" is a romantic-action film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and it is directed by Rohit Shetty. "Thanga Magan" is an action-comedy film starring Dhanush, Samantha and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. It is written and directed by Velraj.
