The business of Sivakarthikeyan's Remo remained solid in its third weekend in Chennai. The movie has turned out to be the actor's biggest hit in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

The Sivakarthikeyan-starrer had 237 shows in its third weekend from which it has minted Rs 80.49 lakh. The total collection of Remo in Chennai now stands at Rs 6.46 crore, reports Behindwoods. Remo has now beaten Sivakarthikeyan's previous best of Rs 3.60 crore set by his earlier flick Rajini Murugan in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

Prabhu Deva's Devi is in the second position for the second consecutive week in Chennai. From 195 shows, the movie has earned Rs 47.61 lakh to take its total tally to Rs 2.11 crore. Going by the good word-of-mouth, the screen count was increased by the distributors which helped the film to do a good business.

Hollywood movie Jack Reacher: Never Go Back has opened to good response in Chennai by collecting Rs 34.86 lakh from 126 shows. No big movies were released last weekend and this factor played a major role in its success, say trade experts.

Telugu film ISM has not received a good start in Chennai as it could collect only Rs 8.96 lakh from 51 shows. Hollywood film Inferno is in the next position by earning Rs 7.16 lakh from 48 shows to take its 10-day total tally to Rs 48.68 lakh.

Vijay Sethupathi's Rekka has not lived up to the viewers' expectations and it is reflecting in the collections. The movie, which had earned Rs 65.72 lakh in its first weekend and performed better than Devi (Rs 37.48 lakh in first weekend), was reduced to just 45 screens in its third weekend from which it collected Rs 5.15 lakh to take its total tally to Rs 1.64 crore in Chennai.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story had 30 shows in its fourth weekend from which it has collected Rs 3.34 lakh. The combined collection of the Tamil and Hindi versions of the flick stands Rs 2.24 crore in Chennai.
