"The Blacklist" season 3 is on a mid-season break and is expected to return only next year. The network aired episode 8, titled "Kings of the Highway" on 19 November, and is now expected to return with "The Director" on 7 January, 2016.

The season has so far shown Red-Liz running from the FBI as they try to exonerate Liz (Megan Boone). We also know that Liz's former colleagues, including Ressler trust Liz and her enstranged husband Tom Keen, have found the man who framed Liz. But in the mid-season finale, we saw Liz finally being arrested by Ressler.

When the season returns we will have to wait and watch if Ressler, who bound by his duties had to arrest Liz, will play a friend and save Liz. According to EW Spoiler Room, Tom along with Ressler and Red will save Liz.

"Tom, who will do anything possible to save and exonerate Liz, will find himself aligned in a completely unexpected way with Ressler, and these two guys hate each other," EP Jon Bokenkamp said.

"There's no love lost between those two guys. I would expect to see them perhaps unite in some sort of way to help Liz. It kills them both to have to do it. What happens when they recognize that they have the same agenda?" he added.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that due to Megan Boone's pregnancy, her character Liz may come back with a baby bump, when the show returns after winter hiatus. So according to reports Liz may either be dead or pregnant in episode 9.

If you recall the episode where Liz sneaked out on Red and met Tom, the two slept together before she went on the run again. It's possible that makers will show Liz pregnant with Tom's child.

Well, the showrunners haven't decided how to tackle this situation. He reportedly told Entertainment Weekly that it's difficult to include the pregnancy plot in the series because they are still exploring if Red's Liz father or not.

"It's really hard in a show that has — whether he's her father or not — a parental core to it. In a show that has a father-daughter type relationship, it's incredibly difficult to ignore the fact that our lead actress is pregnant. It's still being figured out exactly what that means," the showrunner explained.
