Bill Cosby, a stand-up comedian, actor and author, will go on trial for the sexual assault case filed against him by the former basketball player Andrea Constand, on Monday, June 5.

The 79-year-old is being accused of drugging and molesting the former employee of Temple University at his Pennsylvania mansion in 2004. He will appear at the Montgomery County court with his defence attorney and the case will unfold in front of Judge Steven O'Neill.

The Little Bill actor has already denied all the accusations against him and even said that he would not testify. "What people want to say and want you to say and how they maneuver ... I just don't want to sit there and have to figure out what I believe is a truthful answer to whether or not I'm opening a can of something that my lawyers are scrambling," he said during a radio interview.

On the other end, accuser Constand seems to be really confident about winning the case, as a close friend of her stated that she is really prepared for the trial. "There's no trepidation, no fear. She is prepared for this moment. She used to play basketball and she prepared for those games like nobody else and that is what she has done here," Donna Motsinger told NBC news.

Other women to testify against Cosby include Victoria Valentino, who accused him for drugging and raping her in Los Angeles around 50 years ago. "I haven't seen him since 1969. I hope he makes eye contact because I'd love to look him in the eye and stare him down," she said.

Valentino will be joined by pharmaceutical experts, an unnamed William Morris Agency employee, a psychologist and the former assistant of Cosby's late agent, who is the other accuser eligible to testify against him.

The jury members for the trial are being selected from outside Pennsylvania and it consists of mostly white jurors. While seven of the jury members are men, five of them are women and they are picked up from a courthouse in Pittsburgh.

The trial will reportedly last for two weeks. It carries a maximum of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $25,000, according to a BBC report.
