Andrea Constand, the chief accuser in the sexual assault trial against Bill Cosby, took the witness stand in a Pennsylvanian courtroom on Tuesday, June 6.

The former basketball player made a surprise entry to the courtroom on the second day of the trial. Even Judge Steven T O'Neill and the defence lawyers of the legendary comedian did not know that she would testify so early in the trial.

The massage therapist shared chilling details about her alleged physical encounter with the legendary comedian at his mansion in January 2004. She began by describing the 79-year-old actor a Temple friend. "[He was] somebody I trusted, a mentor, and somewhat of an older figure to me," she said, according to report by LA Times.

Constand then spoke about her first meeting with the entertainer via mutual friend. She revealed that they had been in constant touch to discuss about the renovations of several facilities given to the basketball team. The 44-year-old admitted that she used to call him and send him gifts as a token of appreciation for his help.

The accuser also recollected the moments when Cosby tried to physically assault her. One of the incidents she mentioned was their meeting at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, wherein he tried to unzip her pants.

The former basketball player then described the chilling details about her sexual assault in January 2004. "What are they — are they natural? Are they herbal?" she recalled asking the entertainer when he gave her three pills. "He said 'put them down [your throat]. They're your friends; they'll take the edge off," she said.

Constand revealed that she started feeling every week shortly after consuming the pills. "I began to slur my words and I also told Mr. Cosby that I had trouble seeing him, that I could see two of him. When I stood up, my legs were not strong and I began to panic a little bit, and Mr. Cosby helped me by my arm and he assisted me over to a couch and said just relax," she told the jury members.

The massage therapist said that she could not move for the next 20-30 minutes. "I have no recollection until, at some point later, I was jolted conscious — jolted awake. And I felt Mr. Cosby's hand groping my breasts under my shirt. I also felt his hand inside my vagina moving in and out. And I felt him take my hand and place it on his penis and move it back and forth."

When the prosecutor asked the accuser why didn't she try to stop Cosby, she said, "I wasn't able to. In my head I was trying to get my hands to move or my legs to move but I was frozen and those messages didn't get there. I wanted it to stop. I felt really humiliated. I just wanted to go home."

The prosecutors also cross-examined Constand for being late to file a complaint. "If I went to the police, I thought Mr. Cosby would retaliate and try to hurt me," she replied.

Although the second day of trial suggested a romantic relationship between Cosby and her accuser, it remains to be seen how the jurors take it forward.

Meanwhile, actress Lili Bernard, who is known for her appearance in The Cosby Show, spoke to the reporters after the court adjourned for the day. She is one of the many women to claim sexual assault by the entertainer.

"She's (Andrea Constand) seldom emotional. To hear her talk about something I never heard her talk about, to see her cry, was really difficult for me. But what I witnessed today in the courtroom is something she taught me. Even in the most vulnerable state you can find courage," the actress told reporters.
