Bigg Boss Tamil 3 winner: Mugen Rao lifts the trophy, Sandy ends up at second place

Mugen Rao has won the third season of Bigg Boss Tamil. As expected, the Malaysian singer has emerged victorious in the grand finale which was aired on Sunday evening, 6 October.

Sandy, who won the hearts of the audience with his sense of humour, mimcries and overall performance, is the first runner-up, while Losliya, who was the first contestant to get an unofficial army on social media, is the second runner-up. Sherin has ended at the fourth place and Riythika, the winner of Bigg Boss Tamil 2, announced her eviction inside the house. .

Mugen won a trophy and got Rs 50 lakh prize. After winning the season, he thanked the people of Malaysia and Tamil Nadu for showering love. He had special mention for his family members. 

The airing of the grand finale was started at 6 pm and ended at 11 pm. The five-hour show comprised of performances from the contestants, emotional moments and lot of entertainment.

After 105 days, four contestants among 17 contestants had entered the last stage of the Vijay TV's reality show. This season witnessed two unexpected evictons. While Saravanan was shown the door for claiming to have molested women in the bus, Madhumitha was evicted for harming herself out of anger by cutting her wrist.

10.55 pm: Mugen Rao is the winner, Sandy ends up at second place in the third season of Kamal Haasan-hosted Bigg Boss Tamil.

09.28 pm: Shruti Haasan is here. She will enter the house and will bring out one contestant.

08.11 pm: Cheran is given the the Best Disciplined Person Award. Sherin gets Best Buddy in the House. She shares the award with Abhirami.
08.06 pm: Vanitha bags Guts and Grit Woman Award. She is happy to receive he award. She took part in the show to only meet him and wants to work with him for at least in one movie in any role. Its her birthday.
08.02 pm: Special awards to be given for the contestants. Kavin wins Game Changer.
08.00 pm: Kasturi enterains the crowd with her performance.
07.53 pm: The video of Sherin's journey is played.
07.39 pm: Sherin on stage. The actress says that she is happy to be out and did not expect to enter till here, but she is little disappointed because she had come so close.

07.31 pm: Sherin evicted from Bigg Boss Tamil 3. Losliya, Sandy and Mugen still in the race.
07.24 pm: Riythika enters the house and bonds with the inmates. She is now asked to bring one contestant out of the house.
07.14 pm: Riythvika, who won the last year, brings the trophy on stage. Her prediction is Losliya would emerge victorious.

Bigg Boss Tamil 3 was kicked-off on 23 June with 16 contestants like Fathima Babu, Mohan Vaidya, Meera Mitun, Resha Pasupuleti, Saravanan, Sakshi Agarwal, Jangiri Madhumitha, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Kasturi Shankar, Vanitha Vijayakumar, Cheran, Kavin, Tharshan, Sherin, Sandy, Losliya and Mugen entering the house.

Finally, it has boiled down to the battle among four contestants, who fight for the trophy along with Rs 50 lakh prize money.

What trends say?
All the polls on social media and on websites state that the trophy belongs to Mugen Rao. His genuine character has stood out from the rest as he has not indulged in back-biting acts nor involved in house politics to corner any contestant.

Nonetheless, Losliya and Sandy have their own fan base. Going by the trends, Sherin has least chance to life the trophy this season.
