Day one of "Bigg Boss 9" picked up from where the premiere episode ended.
Once inside the Bigg Boss house, the housemates received their first shock when the paired contestants were asked to save one of their bags, while the other partner's bag was asked to be given up.
The contestants mutually decided among themselves believing that they will have to adjust for a couple of days until Bigg Boss returns their respective partner's bag. As a result of this, most men in the house ended up sacrificing their bags for their female partners. However, all the contestants were left in utter shock when their partners' bags were crushed in a shredding machine.
Roopal Tyagi, who chose her bag over her partner Digangana Suryavanshi, started crying seeing the latter's bags being shredded.
Later, Prince Narula was seen discussing his master plan with partner Rochelle Maria Rao. He advised her that they should stick together and along with Rochelle's boyfriend Keith Sequeira and his partner Mandana Karimi, they should form a team and save each other from nomination.
The next day, the nomination procedure started wherein the contestants had to nominate other pairs. Ankit Gera-Arvind Vegda, Rimi Sen-Suyyash Rai, Roopal-Digangana and Vikas Bhalla-Yuvika Chaudhary were nominated for eliminations this week.
Ex-lovers Ankit and Roopal were seen maintaining a safe distance from each other. Roopal was heard discussing that Ankit is behaving differently and is acting fake. She also mentioned that she is not comfortable with Ankit around and hence nominated him for elimination.
On the other hand, Rochelle warns boyfriend Keith to be careful with his actions and behaviour with his partner Mandana as he is on camera and people might misjudge him.
At the end of the day, Rimi and Suyyash were seen discussing about their first day on the show. Rimi reveals that she thought the show was scripted and that they would get food from the canteen, but was surprised that nothing like that happened. In fact, the house doesn't even have a fridge or a microwave oven as of now.
