Salman Khan, who had to exit TV reality show "Bigg Boss 8" midway due to his prior film commitments, may not return to the show in the upcoming season.

In an interview with DNA, when asked about whether he will host "Bigg Boss 9", Salman said that the channel has not yet approached him and that Farah Khan, who replaced him in the last season, is likely to host the upcoming season.

"I don't know. The channel hasn't asked me. I think Farah (Khan) is doing it. She hosted the latter part of it last year and the TRPs had increased. They realised Farah is a better choice!" said Salman.

The news will surely disappoint the show's fans, as over the past few seasons, host Salman has become viewers' favourite so much so that many watched the show only because of him.

Although, Farah managed to entertain viewers in the exclusive series "Bigg Boss Halla Bol", the superstar, with his immense fan following, had always managed to bring his charm to the small screen and make the audiences laugh with his antics.

In other news, the "Kick" star is gearing up for his upcoming film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" that releases on 17 July. The film has been creating massive buzz among Salman fans and movie buffs. The movie also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in important roles.
