"Bigg Boss 8" contestant Gautam Gulati's popularity is no secret.

From leading ladies to directors and ex-contestants, most had Gautam on their mind when asked to reveal their favourite contestant's name. Considering his ever-expanding fanbase, this isn't surprising.

Bigg Boss Live News, known for breaking "BB8" stories, recently informed that there has been a strong buzz that Gautam might star in Farah Khan's next. Although, there hasn't been a confirmation on this matter yet, chances are likely given the "Happy New Year" director's fondness for the suave contestant. However, if rumours are anything to go by, two other housemates from "Seaoson 8" will also feature in the Farah Khan directorial.

Farah's debut episode of "Bigg Boss Halla Bol" might have been drab, but there was this one high point appreciated by the viewers. While having a casual chat with the Champions and Challengers, she asked the suave contestant gently if she could call him 'gullu'.

Interestingly, prior to entering the high-voltage reality show, she said how Gautam was her favourite and the 'hero' of the house adding that rest of the housemates were more like supporting actors of a film.

Gautam, who has already done a short-film "Darpok" which was screened at last year's Cannes Film Festival, has been pulled onboard in Neeraj Pandey's "M.S. Dhoni: An Untold Story" alongside Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor will portray the character of pace bowler Zaheer Khan on screen. Reportedly, Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan and John Abraham will be seen essaying significant roles.

The controversial reality show has been life-changing experience for many. The kind of exposure it offers, newcomers get ample opportunity to give their respective careers the much-needed boost.

For instance, eliminated contestant Diandra Soares, who hasn't done films, has signed two with Pooja Bhatt. "I already have two films both produced by Pooja Bhatt, one of them directed by Soni Razdan. They were supposed to start in September-October. Luckily they got pushed to to February 2015. These are my baby steps into movies.I've never planned my life. Whenever I planned I messed it up.So I go with the flow. Let me see, what's in store," Deccan Chronicle quoted her as saying.
