A prayer meet for the late Bollywood music composer Aadesh Shrivastava was held at ISKCON temple, Mumbai, on Tuesday.

Shrivatava's wife and former actress Vijeta Pandit along with her sons and several Bollywood celebrities attended the prayer meet.

Vijeta, who looked after her ailing husband single-handedly in his last few days, was seen crying inconsolably while well-wishers tried comforting her, reported Indian Express.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan along with his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was among the first few guests to offer condolences to the departed soul.

Others who were spotted at the prayer meet include Madhuri Dixit Nene, Juhi Chawla, Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Poonam Sinha, Chunky Pandey, Neha Dhupia, Satish Kaushik, Shankar Mahadevan, Mika, Udit Narayan, Anu Malik, singer Madhu Shree,  Anoop Soni, Kailash Kher, Pandit Jasraj, director Anil Sharma, Ila Arun and Sudesh Bhosle.

Sr. Bachchan, who was reportedly close to the "Baabul" music director, took to his twitter handle to express his grief on the death of the music composer.

Shrivastava passed away in Mumbai on 5 September after battling cancer for 5 years. His funeral was held at Oshiwara Crematorium, which was attended by several Bollywood celebs.

He rose to fame with his musical compositions for films like "Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham", "Rajneeti", "Chalte Chalte", "Baabul" and "Baghban" among others.
