Speculations have heated up over the involvement of Beyonce in the movie adaptation of E L James' erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey", after the singer released a 16-second clip of the film that is set to release in 2015.

Beyonce, it is reported may have been involved in the film's soundtrack, as the clip contained a version of her song Crazy in Love.

All that the clip offers is a quick sneak-peak into the movie. The Guardian reported that pop-diva may have released the clip exclusively for her fans prior to the release of the official trailer scheduled for this Thursday.

The 16-second trailer from the film features two unidentified actors, which could be Jamie Dornan, who plays the role of a kinky billionaire Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as the naive Literature student Anastasia Steele.

The Fifty Shades clip shows the man staring out of the window, his face hidden from the camera. The woman is seen only from the waist down, while a hand is seen pulling at her skirt.

The Grammy award-winning singer posted preview of "Fifty Shades of Grey" on 20 July on her  Instagram account. According to Hollywood Life, the "clip is already too hot to handle" with Queen Bey singing a seductive, moody version of her 2003 hit, Crazy In Love.

James's erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey has been published in 52 languages so far, since it was first published in 2011. It has sold 100 million copies worldwide.

The erotic romance novel is popular for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism (BDSM).

The film adaption by Universal Pictures and Focus Features is scheduled for a Feb. 13, 2015 release. It is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.

In the intial castings, Charlie Hunnam was chosen for the role of Christian Grey alongside Dakota Johnson. However, Hunnam gave up the project October last year, following which Dornan was announced for the role.
