Batman Arkham Knight
Batman Arkham Knight will be released on 23 June,

"Batman: Arkham Knight", the upcoming and final instalment of the "Batman Arkham" trilogy from Rocksteady Studios, could throw some surprises since the company has still maintained mystery when it comes to the game's protagonist, Batman.

Since the game's announcement, the company has been careful about revealing only so much as to make its fans get interested in this finale that will introduce a new villain, Arkham Knight, who as been dubbed as the military version of Batman.

Speculations have been rife when it comes to what will this game hold, will it end the reign of Bruce Wayne aka Batman as Gotham City's saviour? As it is the last instalment of the series, many believe anything can happen.

The said game will also feature other dangerous villains namely Scarecrow and many others. However, the one that Batman will have to worry about is the mysterious Arkham Knight. He comes with a single motive of not only making Batman's life difficult but also ending his saviour status and doing away with him forever.

The company is known for taking risks and had put Joker to death. And, considering it is the last game of the series, there will be some surprises, opines Attack of the Fanboy.

So what are the evidence that point out the possibility of Batman being killed in the game?

Evidence 1: As revealed on January 2015 on Amazon, the Limited Edition of "Batman: Arkham Knight" included a statue that had "From a Grateful City In Memory of the Gotham Knight" inscribed on it. So, does this mean that the lead character in the game, Dark Knight, will die or is it because this game is the last of the series?

Evidence 2: The game has two exclusive pre-order bonuses that will involve Harley Quinn and Red Hood. We know that while the Harley Quinn content will be a prequel, the content featuring Red Hood is not known to be a prequel or as a follow-up of the game's main story.

Evidence 3: It must be noted that the Season Pass of the game was not Batman-centric. We know that it will include Batgirl DLC, which will be a prequel. But what raised the suspicion was the words described in the Gotham City Stories section that read, "Play as Batman's key allies" in "both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight." Recently, we also saw a new trailer showing Nightwing, Robin, and Catwoman acting as a team to defeat the antagonists. This team can become a reality only when Batman is killed.

That being said, these are only speculations and we can only wait for the game to release or Rocksteady to give us more hints until the release of the game on 23 June, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
