They tried, tried and tried, but it seems Warner Bros. has finally allowed the previously released PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight to die. While fans were hopeful that both Rocksteady and Warner would work out the fine details and bring back the game on Steam renewed, it now appears that the ship has already sunk.

The game did return recently on Steam, thanks to quite the hefty patch that promised major fixes to the game (especially performance issues). However, the patch did not completely solve all the burning issues in the game, instead ended up adding poor graphics and framerate issues.

As mentioned before, publisher Warner Bros. now thinks that it has gone far enough and the company is now offering full refunds for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight until 2016.

An update for the same has also been provided on the game's Steam community which acknowledges the game's continuous struggle with performance-related issues, and also about the latest refund announcement.

"We worked hard to get the game to live up to the standard you deserve but understand that many of you are still experiencing issues," the company said.

"Until the end of 2015, we will be offering a full refund on Batman: Arkham Knight PC, regardless of how long you have played the product. You can also return the Season Pass along with the main game (but not separately). For those of you that hold onto the game, we are going to continue to address the issues that we can fix and talk to you about the issues that we cannot fix."
