"Balika Vadhu" actress Pratyusha Banerjee filed an FIR at Kandivali Police Station, Mumbai, on Monday night stating that eight policemen, who barged into her house in Laljipada, 'misbehaved' with her. Turns out, the story has another side to it.

A police official told Press Trust of India that none of what the TV star claimed had happened adding that 'four policemen in plain clothes' were looking for her boyfriend Rahul Singh, against whom a non-cognisable offence has been registered.

Apparently, he was to cough up his car loan instalment and Amit Dalvi, a loan recovery agent, was in the actress' flat to collect it, on 31 December. The meeting didn't go too well as the former manhandled the visitor, who was later sent packing.

Dalvi, along with some policemen, then went looking for Rahul on Monday night only to be told by Pratyusha's mother that he was in Goa, added the police official. The actress wasn't misbehaved with, he added.

This piece of news comes on the heels of the murky Parth Samthaan controversy which has the actor claiming he was molested by producer Vikas Gupta. "Parth accused Vikas of touching him inappropriately on December 7, 2013 and the duo hasn't been friends since then. But soon after this, they were apparently holidaying together in Thailand. Parth has also featured in five shows produced by Vikas, so the non-payment of dues allegation doesn't hold true," The Times of India quoted a source as saying.
