Nandamuri Balakrishna's "Dictator" and Akkineni Nagarjuna's "Soggade Chinni Nayana" (SCN) have cleared the formalities of the Censor Board and bagged 'U/A' certificates.
"Soggade Chinni Nayana" is a romantic family entertainer and the film unit has recently completed its shooting and post-production works. The makers held the special screening of its first copy for the officials of the Board on 5 January. They reportedly wanted 'U' certification for the film, but the Board has awarded it 'U/A' certificate due to some action scenes, which are crucial for the movie.
The makers of "Dictator", which is an action commercial entertainer, held its screening for the Censor Board this morning. The film has received a U/A certificate from the board without any cut. The sources from the Censors are happy with the final outcome in both the movies. They are very entertaining and will be grand treats for the fans of Nandamuri and Akkineni family.
The Balakrishna starrer movie has been directed by Sriwass and jointly produced by Eros International and Sriwass under the banner Vedhaaswa Creations. Balayya is seen romancing actresses like Anjali and Sonal Chauhan in "Dictator", which has music Sreedhar Seepana's story, S Thaman's and Shyam K Naidu's cinematography.
The Nagarjuna starrer film has been directed by Kalyan Krishna and produced by himself under his home banner Annapurna Studios. "Soggade Chinni Nayana" will feature Ramya Krishnan and Lavanya Tripathi in the female lead roles. The movie has P Ram Mohan's script, Anoop Rubens' music and PS Vinod's cinematography.
"Dictator" will be released in 900 theatres around the world on 14 January, while "Soggade Chinni Nayana" graces 600 screens across the globe a day later. Their theatrical rights have been sold for fancy prices. Both are most-hyped and highly-awaited films and they will be released as Sankranti treats. They will clash with two other highly-talked about films like Nannaku Prematho and "Express Raja".
