Salman Khan is a box office king, but he is also a king of remakes. After delivering a blockbuster film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", Salman has been lined up with several releases and one among them is a remake of Tamil film.

Salman has apparently given his nod to Mohan Raja's Hindi remake of his Tamil film "Thani Oruvan".

Tamil film "Thani Oruvan" was released on 28 August worldwide, and reports suggested that the team had arranged for a special screening of the film for Salman.

And now a leading daily reported that Mohan Raja has roped in Salman for the Hindi remake of the film.

"It is true that Salman Khan will be playing the lead in the Hindi remake of Thani Oruvan, but it will take at least a week's time for the actor to officially sign on the dotted line. Salman will play Jayam Ravi's role in the film. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised. The shoot of the film will begin soon. The film will be remade in other languages, too," The Times of India quoted a source as saying.

Apart from "Thani Oruvan", there are reports of Salman teaming up with South Indian film director AR Murugadoss for his next, which will be remake of his Tamil film "Kaththi".

"In their last meeting, Murugadoss had briefed Salman about his project. And although, Salman liked the concept, he didn't commit himself to it in view of his court cases. But, now the actor has given a go-ahead to the project, which is likely to be produced by his brother-in-law, Atul Agnihotri,"Mid-Day quoted a source as saying.

Salman has previously worked in the Hindi remakes of South films including "Wanted", "Bodyguard", "Ready" and "Kick". All the films turned out to be a blockbuster hits and it went on to shatter several records at the box office.
