Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known to treat his audiences to extravagant and colourful sets, luxurious costumes and melodious songs, and the producer/director's magnum opus "Bajrao Mastani" is no different.

While many pictures from the sets have leaked online, the latest ones showcase the massive and royal setting. In one of the pictures, the extravagant palace ground is seen surrounded by a row of elephants and a troop of soldiers.

Recently, the entire cast and crew of "Bajirao Mastani" also shot a major war sequence in Sambhar, Amer Fort, Raigad and Kanota Fort in Jaipur.

Meanwhile, lead actor Ranveer Singh, who was away from the sets of "Bajirao Mastani" for quite a few months due to his shoulder surgery, is back with the team.

However, the actor is restricted from shooting any major action sequences for the next two months.

"Ranveer was advised a three week bed rest and he has been visiting physiotherapist, he will take minimum two and half months to get recovered. Though Ranveer has started shooting, but he can shoot light action sequences." a source told Daily Bhaskar.

"Bajirao Mastani" is a period drama, based on the love story of warrior Peshwa Baji Rao and his second wife Mastani, played by Ranveer and Deepika Padukone respectively. The film also has Priyanka Chopra, who will be essaying the role of Baji Rao's first wife, Kashibai.

Although, "Bajirao Mastani" will essentially revolve around Singh and the "Piku" actress, the story of Baji Rao's troubled first wife Kashibai forms an important part of the film. The period drama also features Aditya Pancholi and Mahesh Manjrekar in important roles.
