Popular two-wheeler maker Bajaj's upcoming Pulsar 150NS prototype has returned with a new batch of spy shots, hinting that the launch is near.
Pulsar, a name which has been fascinating Indian youth is now getting ready to add a series of bikes in its lineup, and Pulsar 150NS is one among them. Expected to reach the domestic market by the end of this year, Pulsar 150NS, a smaller sibling of pulsar 200NS has been on test in the country for quite some time now. The latest set of spy shots of the upcoming model is from Motoroids reader Varun Kulkarni and Paxy Lal. From the images, the new offering of Bajaj looks greatly inspired by Pulsar 200NS and is likely to get a rear monoshock suspension.
Bajaj Pulsar 150NS, a new sibling of Pulsar 200NS is speculated to get features like aluminium number plate holder and a split grab rail along with 100/90 cross section rear tyre and single seat. The engine specifications of the new NS bike from the Pune-based two-wheeler maker is yet to be known, however, reports suggest that the Pulsar 150NS is likely to pack a new engine.
Apart from Pulsar 150NS, Bajaj is also expected to launch Pulsar 200SS, Pulsar SS400 (Super Sport 400) and Pulsar CS400 (Cruiser Sport 400) in India in the coming months. The SS400, and CS400, which gave its first appearance at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 will follow the design philosophy of KTM Duke 390 and comes with 375cc liquid-cooled, four-valve triple spark engine. The engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission with fuel injection. Pulsar SS400 shares similarities with the earlier rumoured Pulsar 375 and is expected to come with features like split seat, mudguard-mounted tailight and clip-on handle bars. The bikes will also house anti-lock braking systems (ABS).
The Super Sport 400 Pulsar (SS400) would be the first to make its entry to the market, followed by the Cruiser Sport 400 (CS400).
Pulsar 200SS, the fully faired version of Pulsar 200NS will take on the likes of Yamaha R15 V2.0 and Honda CBR150R in the sub-continent market. Under the hood, Pulsar 200SS is likely to carry the retuned version of four-stroke, SOHC, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine of 200NS. The 200NS is powered by an engine, which has an output of 23.65 bhp and a torque of 18.3 Nm.
