Bajaj Discover

Popular two wheeler maker Bajaj is reportedly set to launch its two new Discover bikes in India on 11 August, according to a new report.

Bajaj Discover 150S and Discover 150F, which have been doing the rounds on the Internet for quite some time will be launched officially in the domestic market next week, reported Overdrive. This might ring true as the bikes were earlier spotted at a dealership in India, indicating their arrival.

Bajaj's next Discover series lineup 150S will reportedly hit the market in two variants - one with regular drum brakes and the second one with front disc brake. The 150S is based on Bajaj's Discover 125ST and the bike is likely to draw a lot of similarity with it.

Although the technical details and key specifications of the bike are still under wrap, rumours suggest that both Discover 150S and the semi faired version of 150S will be getting power from a 150cc four-valve air-cooled motor, which can generate an output of 15.06PS and 12.5Nm with five-speed gearboxes. If recent reports are to be believed, then the Discover F150 is likely to get features like disc brakes, monoshock suspension at the rear and both electric and kick starters.

In India, Bajaj's upcoming offerings will take on the likes of the Honda CB Unicorn and Yamaha SZ Series and the bikes are likely to fall in the price range of ₹55,000 –₹65,000 (ex-showroom).

Previous reports have indicated that Bajaj have commenced the booking for both Discover 150S and 150F in the country with an advance payment varying from ₹500 to ₹1,000.

Apart from Discover series, Bajaj is also expected to launch Pulsar 150NS and Pulsar 200SS in India. Pulsar 200SS, the fully faired version of Pulsar 200NS is likely to get its power from the retuned version of four-stroke, SOHC, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine of 200NS. It is speculated to come with features like digital fuel injection system, optional ABS, monoshock suspension at the rear, telescopic forks at the front and projector headlamps.
