Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, who got engaged in the previous season of ABC's dating reality show "The Bachelor," will get walking down the aisle before this year is up, and rumours are rife that it may be a December wedding.

When the duo revealed that they were busy planning their wedding it was assumed that they were eyeing a 2017 wedding. "We have been throwing around some locations, and I think we've narrowed it down to the area that we want to get married. We're thinking 2017," Bushnell told Us Weekly back in August.

But Bachelor Nation host Chris Harrison let it slip during a recent interview with Kelly Ripa that the duo has other plans.

Talking about all the upcoming weddings, he said: "We have the three from Paradise, we have JoJo and Jordan Rodgers — or Aaron Rodgers, whichever one is fine," he said. "Then, of course, we have Ben and Lauren, who are going to get married this year."

Higgins and Bushnell are yet to announce when they would get married, but according to Mindy Weiss, celebrity wedding planner and Wedding Paper Divas' style partner, it could be a destination wedding, Higgins and Bushnell might go for a tropical, exotic location as Bushnell has travelled extensively as a flight attendant.

Weiss predicts an intimate gathering consisting of close family and friends where Bushnell's sister would be the maid of honour. Her bridesmaids would be opting for light blue dresses to match the subtle décor of the venue. As for Bushnell's dress, here's Weiss' prediction: "Lauren is very trendy and loves a two piece outfit with a cropped top, so think she might take a risk and go with the more modern styled two piece dress. That said, I still think it will be simple and beachy (no lace and minimal beading)."
