'Baahubali' (Bahuabli) Hindi Version Set to Cross Rs 100 Crore Mark at Indian Box Office

The Hindi version of "Baahubali - the Beginning" (Bahuabli) continues to rock the Indian box office even in its third week and it is all set to surpass the Rs 100 crore mark in the domestic market.

Despite clashing with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", the SS Rajamouli directorial is attracting movie buffs to the theatres across the globe. Its performance has surprised many B-Town stars.

The Hindi version of "Baahubali" had shown around 36% decline in its business in its second Friday. Its third Friday business seemed almost equal to that of its second Friday. The Prabhas-Rana Daggubati starrer made massive business on its third Saturday and Sunday.

"Baahubali - the Beginning" collected Rs 13.35 crore nett at the Indian box office in the second weekend, while its third weekend business went down by just Rs 79 lakh nett. In its third weekend, the Hindi version collected Rs 12.56 crore at the box office, taking its 17 domestic total to Rs 85.71 crore nett.

The Hindi version of "Baahubali" collected Rs 23.42 crore nett at the domestic box office in the second week. If we go by the latest trends, the movie may collect approximately Rs 22+ crore in the third week. This means the movie is likely to rake in another Rs 10 crore on the weekdays, taking its 21-day-domestic total to Rs 95.71+ crore.

"Baahubali - the Beginning" will surpass the mark of Rs 100 crore at the Indian box office in its fourth weekend. The SS Rajamouli directorial is the first dubbed movie to achieve this rare feat in the domestic market in the 100-year history of Indian cinema.

Bollywood has released several movies in 2015 so far, but only three films like "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" and "ABCD 2" have been able to enter the club of Rs 100 crore movies. Even big-ticket movies like "Baby" and "Gabbar Is Back", which stars superstar Akshay Kumar, have failed to make it to the mark. It is really a great achievement for "Baahubali".
