After being on top for six consecutive weeks, SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 has lost its No. 1 position at the Chennai box office. Hollywood movie The Mummy and a flurry of new releases have pushed Prabhas and Rana Daggubati's film to the fifth position.

In the opening weekend, The Mummy minted an earth-shattering Rs 1.07 crore from 225 shows, reports Behindwoods. The pre-release hype helped the movie get the huge opening at the Chennai box office.

As no big Tamil film was released last weekend, viewers' first choice was The Mummy, making it set the box office on fire. However, the Tom Cruise-starrer opened to mixed reviews and it has to be seen how it will perform in the days to come.

Coming to new Tamil releases, Vikram Prabhu's Sathriyan is off to a decent start by raking in Rs 69.75 lakh from 207 shows, while Rangoon collected Rs 39.41 lakh from 180 shows.

Another Hollywood movie, Wonder Woman, enjoyed a good occupancy rate in theatres although the business was significantly impacted by The Mummy. In its second weekend, it earned Rs 19.17 lakh from 72 shows to take its total tally to Rs 67.12 lakh.

Baahubali 2 collected Rs 9.15 lakh from 75 shows. The total collection of SS Rajamouli's film stands at Rs 17.71 crore, which is a new record for highest-grossing film in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

Bollywood movie Raabta had a good occupancy rate and collected Rs 8.59 lakh from 48 shows. Samuthirakani's Thodan entered its third weekend by earning Rs 3.92 lakh from 33 shows to take its total tally to Rs 1.03 crore.

The business of Jiiva's Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae slowed down in its fourth weekend as it collected Rs 2.38 lakh from 24 shows to take its total tally to Rs 2.22 crore.
