Baahubali 2 beats Dangal collection to turn 1st Indian film to cross $20 million mark at US box office

SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 has collected over $20 million at the US box office in 31 days and has become the all time highest grossing Indian film, beating the lifetime collection record of Dangal.

The Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam versions of Baahubali 2 were released in over 1,000 screens across North America in April 28 and all of the versions received great response in the continent. The movie performed really well at the US box office for four weeks. Its Hindi version has continued to strike gold at the ticket counters in its fifth weekend, while other three versions were withdrawn from the theatres.

The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 has collected approximately $274,803 in North America in its fifth weekend. All the four versions have collected a total of $20,482,352 in the US box office in 31 days. Baahubali 2 has shattered the lifetime collection records of Aamir Khan's Dangal and PK, which raked in $12,357,576 and $10,551,836, respectively at the US box office. The Prabhas and Rana Daggubati starrer has become the first Indian film to cross Rs 100 crore mark at the US box office and it has also emerged as the first Indian film to surpass the $20 million mark in the country.
