Taiwanese electronics major Asus confirmed the release of the much-awaited top-end Zenfone Max Pro (M1) model in India later this month.

The new Zenfone Max Pro model comes with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage (expandable) for Rs 14,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart from 26 July onward.

In addition to the impressive physical memory, the new Asus model is equipped with advanced camera hardware: 16 MP + 5 MP dual camera on the back and a 16 MP front snapper. In comparison, generic models come with 13 MP + 5 MP rear sensors and an 8 MP front shooter.

Rest of the features including the design language and internal specifications remains the same. It comes with a 5.99-inch full HD+ screen and a metal-clad shell on the back with fingerprint sensor in the middle.

Under the hood, the Asus phone comes with pure Android Oreo, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor, 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM, and 32GB/64GB storage.

The USP of the device is its battery as it comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery, which is more than enough to last two days under mixed usage.

I had the chance to review the generic Zenfone Max Pro (4GB RAM + 64GB storage) model for almost a month and it aced in most aspects like build quality, display, processing power and battery life among others.

With such excellent features and dirt cheap price range, Asus phone will surely give the popular Redmi Note 5 Pro, a run for its money in the Indian market.

I have also received the new Zenfone Max Pro (with 6GB RAM) for the review and will be posting it next week.
