Lenovo has released a new smartphone, the K80, which is likely to be priced between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000, giving a clear picture that it will have to compete with a few devices like Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML model and Xiaomi Mi 4 in the Indian smartphone market.

The Lenovo K80 is priced CNY 1,499, which is approximately around ₹15,400 when converted to Indian currency but it can come up to ₹20,000 when it actually hits the stores. On the other hand, Xiaomi MI4 16GB is currently available for ₹17,999 and the 64GB variant ₹21,999, and ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML is priced between ₹12,999 and ₹22,999.

Here is feature comparison of Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML, Lenovo K80 and Xiaomi Mi 4: Which device has superior features?

Display

Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML sports 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density), similar to Lenovo K80 except for its 401 ppi pixel density, which may not make much difference. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 4 has a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels (441 ppi pixel density).

Processor

Lenovo K80 is powered by a 1.8GHz Quad-core processor, while Asus Zenfone 2 comes with Intel Atom Z3560 and Intel Atom Z3580, placing the devices almost at par with each other. However, Xiaomi MI4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.

Software

Asus Zenfone 2 and Lenovo K80 run on the latest Android 5 Lollipop, while the Xiaomi Mi 4 runs on Android 4.4.3 KitKat though Lollipop update is expected to come to the device.

Storage

Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML comes packed with 16/32/64GB internal memory expandable up to another 64GB, while Lenovo K80 comes with 32/64GB internal storage expandable up to 32 GB, and Xiaomi MI 4 is available in 16/64 GB with microSD slot.

Camera

All the devices house a 13 MP main camera but Xiaomi Mi 4 scores more than the others with 8MP front snapper.

Battery

Lenovo K80 has powerful 4000 mAh battery compared to 3000 mAh battery in Zenfone 2 and 3080 mAh in Xiaomi Mi 4.

Conclusion: These devices are almost at par with each other with very similar specifications except for slight advantage in some features. But if one is to choose one out of the three, Lenovo K80 could be the one because of its powerful battery and its competitive price which is likely to be lesser than the Asus Zenfone 2 and Xiaomi Mi 4.
