Arya and Anushka Shetty's lip-lock in the forthcoming movie "Inji Iduppazhagi", which is being made in Telugu under the title "Size Zero", has been deleted.

Rumours are rife that the lip-lock scene between Arya and Anushka has been cut from the final copy based on the advice given by the Regional Censor Board. The makers had to delete the sequence in order to get entertainment tax exemption from the state government.

The prime criterion to get the aforementioned certification is a movie should promote Tamil culture and the content should be suitable to watch for all kinds of movie goers. If a movie falls under this category, the state government gives 30% tax exemption.

It is a big benefit as producers will be exempted from paying tax and the gross income will be their net income. This factor seems to have prompted the makers of "Inji Iduppazhagi" delete the smooching scene, say reports.

However, it is not clear whether the same scene has been deleted from its Telugu version "Size Zero", as neighbouring states are not giving such benefits.

"Inji Iduppazhagi" is a bilingual film written and directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and bankrolled by PVP Cinemas. Sonal Chauhan, Prakash Raj, Urvashi, Pavani Gangireddy and others are in the cast. A host of big names like Bobby Simha, Hansika Motwani, Jeeva, Kajal Aggarwal, Lakshmi Manchu, Nagarjuna, Rana Daggubati, Tamanna Bhatia and Sridivya have done guest appearances in the film.

The film addresses the challenges of obesity and the obsession with weight in a sensitive way. The director has infused all the commercial elements to make it a wholesome entertainer in which Anushka Shetty plays the role of an overweight woman.

"Inji Iduppazhagi" is hitting screens on 27 November worldwide.
