Arsenal have been handed a boost in their attempts to land Juventus striker Alvaro Morata following reports of the Serie A side being prepared to sell the Spaniard if his £60million release clause is met this summer.

Although the 22-year-old striker arrived to the Turin based club from Real Madrid for a reported fee of £15 million only this summer, his future has been subject to a lot of speculation, with the Los Blancos having successfully managed to insert a buy-back clause in the Spanish striker's contract.

Arsenal along with Liverpool have also reportedly been showing an interest in Morata, and, according to the Metro, Juventus will not hesitate to sell the striker if either of the clubs agree to meet the £60million release clause in his contract.

If the striker is sold, it is believed that the £60 million will be split equally between Juventus and Real Madrid.

However, it is believed that the defending Serie A champions are hoping to keep Morata as they feel that the Spaniard will be a star player in the future, despite him not being able to make much impact this season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that Gabriel Paulista could be out for three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury during Arsenal 2-1 Premier League win at Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old defender, who moved from Villarreal to Arsenal for a transfer fee of £16 million in January, was making his second start for the Gunners after making his full debut against Everton on 1 March.

However, the Brazilian didn't last for long as he was forced off the field with a hamstring injury in the first half. And now Wenger has revealed that the defender could be ruled out for 21 days.

"Gabriel had a hamstring problem," said Wenger, according to the Daily Mail. "I don't know how bad it is yet, it is usually 21 days."

This will certainly be a big blow for Arsenal as the Brazilian will be unavailable for their crucial FA Cup quarter final clash against Manchester United on 10 March.
