Arsene Wenger, a few days back, admitted he expects to be busy in the January transfer window, with Arsenal looking to buy the outfield players they couldn't, or chose not to, last summer.

Reports recently suggested Alexis Sanchez wanted Wenger to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez aka Chicharito. The Mexico international has had a brilliant season so far in the Bundesliga, after moving to Leverkusen from Manchester United last summer.

Chicharito has scored 18 goals from 21 appearances in all competitions for the German side this season, and he could be a really good signing for Wenger's side. 

Well, it might not be possible now. Football legend Rudi Voller, who is presently the sporting director at Bayer Leverkusen, has mentioned categorically that the 27-year-old forward is not for sale.

"We are a football club and it is important that we are successful," Voller was quoted by the Daily Mail. "Chicharito has played a big part in our success so far, through his style of play, through his goals. That's why we brought him here.

"In the first half of the season, everything has worked out fine. It's easy to reject offers when you are in a position in which you don't need to sell. We are in such a position. We will keep the players we want to help us achieve our goals," the World Cup winner with Germany in 1990, added.

Leverkusen are currently fifth in the Bundesliga, and Hernandez has been an integral part to their steady run of form. The player has a contract at the BayArena until the summer of 2018.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have to work real quick to try and bring some new faces on the attacking front. The Premier League side were heavily linked with Karim Benzema last summer, but the deal never really saw the light of the day.

Wenger has deployed Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott as centre forwards this season. He also has Danny Welbeck at his disposal, but the Englishman remains sidelined with a long-term injury.
