Arsenal have extended the future of midfield stars Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla at the Emirates, and manager Arsene Wenger is one happy man.

While the details of the fresh deals have not been revealed by the club, it is believed that Walcott – who made his 300th appearance for the Gunners last season – has signed a new four-year deal with the club worth £1,40,000 a week, as reported by BBC.

The new deal makes the lightning-booted winger Arsenal's longest-serving current player.

Spain international Cazorla has also reportedly signed a new two-year contract with the club, according to the Guardian, thus securing his future with the North London outfit atleast until the summer of 2019.

And this cannot be a better news for Wenger ahead of the big Community Shield clash against defending Premier League champions Chelsea, on Sunday.

"We're delighted to have extended the contracts of Santi and Theo. Both are top quality players who are hugely important and influential to our squad," the French manager said. "As well as their huge contributions on the pitch, they both have a great deal of experience and are very popular off the pitch. We're very pleased with them both signing contract extensions, as it provides our squad with further stability of quality."

Walcott, who has been an Arsenal player ever since 2006, has scored a total of 76 goals, apart from winning the FA Cup twice.

The England international had a decorated end to his Premier League campaign last season as he scored a first-half hat-trick against West Brom in Arsenal's final league game of 2014-15.

The 26-year-old also scored for Arsenal in the FA Cup final against Aston Villa last season.

Cazorla, meanwhile, affirmed his star status from the moment he arrived at the Emirates in the summer of 2012. After a splendid first season that saw him become the Arsenal Player of the Season, the Spaniard went on to pick up 148 appearances and notch up 27 goals, and 38 assists.

The 30-year-old's technical style of play and dribbling prowess has earned him plaudits from every quarters.
