Anjali has clarified on rumours about her secret wedding, confirming that she is not married.

Earlier, a section of the media had reported that Anjali married a production manager and settled down in the US. Anjali, who was expected to attend the press meet of Vishal's "Madha Gaja Raja", did not turn up for the event fuelling rumours about her marriage. There were also speculations doing the rounds that the "Engeyum Eppodhum" actress got hitched with a prominent politician in Andhra Pradesh.

The actress' phone was reportedly switched off and there was no clue about her whereabouts. Now, Anjali has come out in the open and refuted the rumours on her marriage. "I was shocked to read the news that I am married to an individual from a top influential family and that there has been confusion. It was a wrong report and I request everyone to clarify things before publishing," Anjali was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

The bubbly actress also denied reports suggesting that she did not dub her portions for the Telugu version of "Madha Gaja Raja" and failed to attend the promotional events of her films. Anjali said that she will be available on phone and the media can contact her to clarify on such rumours.

It may be recalled that Anjali went missing for a few days in April, creating media buzz. The actress reappeared alleging that her step-mother Bharati Devi and Tamil director Mu Kalanjiyam (who introduced Anjali to films with "Sathamintri Muthamidu" which did not get released) harassed and robbed her savings.

The talented actress took a break and made her reappearance with an item song in Suriya's "Singam 2". She also attended the audio launch of her latest hit Telugu film "Balupu." Anjali will be next seen in Tamil film "Madha Gaja Raja", a commercial entertainer set to release on 6 September. The actress is also shooting for her upcoming Telugu film "Masala", co-starring Venkatesh and Ram Pothineni.
