Android 5.0 Lollipop OS Update Tracker Launched for Moto, Droid Series Smartphones

After confirming Android Lollipop OS update to Moto and Droid series smartphones, Google owned Motorola (soon to be acquired by Lenovo) has updated the company support page to help consumers track the availability of Android 5.0 Lollipop on smart devices.

"We know what you're thinking,'Will my device receive an upgrade? When? How?' Never fear...all the information's right here," reads a mesage on the company's official support page.

The new Android 5.0 Lollipop is currently under development and once Google's Android team releases the final version (probably in November first week), the company will incorporate value-added features in to the OS and roll out soon, said Motorola.

The smartphones that are confirmed to get the new Android 5.0 Lollipop include:

1. Moto X (Gen 2.)
2. Moto X (Gen 1.)
3. Moto G (Gen 2.)
4. Moto G (Gen 1.)
5. Moto G 4G-LTE
6. Moto E
7. Droid Ultra
8. Droid Maxx
9. Droid Mini

Motorola smartphone users can log into the official company support page (HERE) and track the release of Android Lollipop OS.

Besides Motorola, top tier-1 smartphone makers Sony, HTC, LG and Asus have also officially confirmed to the new Android 5.0, but only in 2015.

Word on the street is that Samsung is also likely to release new candy flavored Google OS to Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 before the end of the year. 

For the uninitiated, Google's new Android v5.0 Lollipop OS comes with completely re-furbished new design language- Material design, bringing inter-active user-interface, replacement of Dalvik with ART as its default runtime and many more tweaks for performance enhancements.
