Shocking elements are expected at this stage of the competition with only the most talented remains and someone has to go as the show progresses but the America's Got Talent Semi-Finals 1 result was too much to take as some of the most consistent and potential winners were voted out by American viewers.

For instance, Siro-A video projection dance group, who received a standing ovation from all the judges -- Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, Mel B and Heidi Klum – after their performance on Tuesday, was eliminated from the show. Many would have thought after their semi-finals act that they would be through to the finals but that was not to be.

It was not only Siro-A but several other acts who put up an impressive show during the semi-finals live performance were sent home on Wednesday's results show.

Nick Cannon called out Derek Hughes, Metal Mulisha and Mountain Faith for the results. Hughes, who entertained the audience with a bedtime story, was declared winner.

The next to take the stage were Oz Pearlman, Arielle Baril and Ira. Pearlman was announced the winner, which means Baril who gave a wonderful rendition of "Nessun Dorma" by Luciano Pavarotti in the live performance, had to go home.

From the third group, Drew Lynch received a place in the finals but that means Siro-A, who impressed both the judges and the audience with their superb performance on Wednesday, had to to leave the show.

Then the show gave way to the bottom three acts -- Samantha Johnson, Benton Blount and The Craiglewis Band. It was sort of disgusting to know that they got the lowest votes as they put up solid performances on Tuesday but one has to face the reality. Blount got a place in the finals through Dunkin' Save, and then judges saved The Craiglewis Band.
