It's common for celebs to brandish their bling. In fact, some stars don't hold back when displaying their diamonds in public.

However, it appears George Clooney's wife Amal Alamuddin isn't one of them. According to the latest report, the human rights lawyer is looking to replace her engagement ring, which has a seven carat emerald-cut diamond, with a simple platinum band.

The Hollywood star's wife has been shopping for the new ring in Cartier, and according to a source, Amal wants a ring that's understated and less glamourous when she's working on serious cases.

A source said: "People constantly stop her and admire it for a closer look. It is a massive rock and there is no hiding it."

The 37-year-old lawyer will still keep her £450k engagement ring from husband George Clooney, but is looking for a ring that won't attract attention.

According to Mirror, George, as usual, is very supportive of his wife's decision, and a source added that he is very understanding.

Meanwhile, the couple's £10-million mansion in Berkshire is being renovated, and the latest addition includes their very own love nest. In a series of recently released pictures, a cosy wooden hut with a wooden swing in the façade is seen.

One local told the Daily Star: "The new hut is just so tasteful. The builders have used reclaimed wood and built it in a classic style so it looks as if it has always been there."

George Clooney, 54, and Amal Alamuddin's high-profile wedding took place in Venice, Italy, in December 2014. Since then, there have been several rumours about Amal's pregnancy.
