Asin Thottumkal, who shot to fame in South films before moving to Bollywood, is set to get hitched to Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma soon.

Asin is all set to marry Rahul Sharma, one of India's youngest entrepreneurs of the present times, according to The Times of India

The report adds that it was actor Akshay Kumar, who brought the couple together. Asin and Rahul have been seeing each other for over two years now, but remained tight-lipped about their relationship as Asin wanted to wrap up all her commitments before making an announcement on the same.

As a result, Asin has not signed any new project for quite some time. She has been busy with her Hindi movie "All is Well", which was delayed due to Smriti Irani's political commitments after taking over as the HRD minister.  

Meanwhile, the preparations for their wedding have already begun and the date and other details will be announced shortly.

Asin started her acting career in Mollywood with "Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka" in the year 2001. Her first major commercial success came in Telugu industry with "Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi" in 2003.

Her entry into the Tamil industry also turned out to be successful with "M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi". Later, she got busy in Kollywood and Tollywood. In a few years, she became a leading actress of South India by working with actors like Suriya, Vikram, Vijay, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Venkatesh and others. Her last South film was "Kaavalan"(2011).

The actress made her Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan starrer "Ghajini", the first official Indian movie to make it to Rs. 100-crore club.
