Toyota's popular MPV Innova is all set to get a major makeover after 10 years in India and global markets.

According to Indonesian website otomotif.kompas.com, the all new Innova's global unveil will take place in Indonesia on 23 November.

The new Innova has been caught testing with camouflage in India many times in 2015. The vehicle in its new avatar is expected to make it to the India market during the first half of 2016, with the unveilin in the country expected during 2016 Auto Expo.

The new Innova will use platform IMV (Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle). The report also indicates a new top-of-the-line Q variant that will be added in the trim level of new Innova. The all new Innova will give importance to safety. Safety features such as anti-lock braking system (ABS), dual air bags, three-point seat-belts for seven passengers, and a middle seat Isofix will be offered as standard.

The re-styled front end will feature bigger grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers. Additionally, the popular MPV in its new avatar will boast of projector headlamps combined with LED daytime running lights.

Under the hood, the new Innova is expected to include 2.4 or 2.5-litre diesel engines with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

The interior of the new Toyota Innova is expected to get features such as dual-tone interior and updated steering wheel. In terms of entertainment, the car is expected to be equipped with a touchscreen head unit.
