Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were attending the launch of the song 'Raita Phail Gaya' from the movie "Shaandaar" and as usual, Alia was asked a question regarding her rumoured boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra.
However, Alia was reluctant to answer this time and instead, asked her "Shaandaar" co-actor Shahid Kapoor to "save her".
Apparently, Shahid was quizzed about his wife Mira Rajput a couple of times earlier and then Alia had come forward to rescue him from media questions. And now, Alia wanted Shahid to do the same for her and return the favour.
Alia was asked to comment on Sidharth's new look for New Zealand tourism and the "Shaandaar" actress said, "Shahid I have saved you many times. Today it is your turn," reports Pinkvilla.
Shahid came up to her rescue, saying: "Kaun hai yeh Sidharth? Alia and I don't know any Sidharth Malhotra. Hum nae jante aise kisi ko. We just know Sid Marketing."
Some days ago, Shahid told the media that he always finds Alia's phone busy as she keeps talking to "Sid Marketing". The apparent reference to Sidharth Malhotra as "Sid Marketing" left Alia blushing then.
Although Alia and Sidharth never spoke about their relationship in public, gossip mongers believe that the duo is having an affair as they are spotted together at many places.
After the release of the movie "Shaandaar", Alia will be seen with Sidharth in the upcoming film "Kapoor and Sons".
